Outfit - Floral Monochrome Print

Dress - Riverisland
Necklace - Primark (old)

Monochrome and floral print, what's not to love?

I featured this dress in my previous 'River Island Sale Edit' post. I would say this dress is my current favourite. Its fit and flare shape is very flattering and its sweetheart neckline adds a feminine touch. The dress has a textured floral monochrome print which is soft and has some stretch to it.

I wore the outfit with my trusty New Look boots. I got these boots ages ago and iv worn them everyday since. They have lasted very well but I think its about time I invest in new pair.

Outfit - Back To School

Dress - Topshop (old)
Shirt - Primark
Shoes - Primark
Bag - Primark
Hat - H&M

I didn't intentionally put together a back to school inspired outfit, it just happened to look that way. I thinks its due to the whole look being monochrome and that I'm wearing a white shirt. The shirt is from primark and has a floral burn out print on the front and back which is covered by the dress.

The dress is old from Topshop. Its a jersey strappy midi dress with a tulle skirt overlay. The dress looks great layered over tops and worn under cropped jumpers in the colder seasons.

I love hats but don't own many. I got this hat from H&M, there was only large sizes left, its a bit big but nothing that a bit of back combing cant fix. I am on the look out for a burgundy/wine coloured fedora or a floppy hat. I have seen one in Topshop but £28 for a hat is overpriced for my liking.

-Belated Summer Post-

Pastel blue textured dress with contrasting white peter pan collar... What's not to love right? I have seen similar Autumn/Winter coloured dresses with the peter pan collars in primark, which i have been tempted to buy.

The white jacket is from H&M. Its fitted in style and has a textured pattern to it. The puff sleeves and welt pockets with a flap are great features to this jacket.

The white sandals are from Primark. They have been the perfect shoe for me during the summer, both comfortable and stylish.

I love all things that resemble the 50s style when it comes to fashion, which is why I love this midi skirt. I got the skirt awhile back now from Topshop. The shape of the skirt is feminine and very flattering when worn with a fitted top. The pleats and the organza insert are great features to the skirt. When I love something I tend to buy it in as many colours as possible. This is exactly what I did with this skirt. Does anyone else do that? I have 3 other versions of this skirt in different colours and prints.

I was completely drawn to the print of this boxy shirt. The fabric is so soft which I found quite surprising as its from primark. The shirt comes with a pretty little detachable chain which is attached under the collar.

I got this dress when i went to the clothes show last year.

I use to enjoy going to the clothes show with all the bargains to be had, but last year i wasn't really impressed. I feel that I am to old for the clothes show now, it just seems filled with young girls wanting to meet the 'TOWIE' and 'MIC' cast. There was quite a few market type stalls and some were even selling primark clothes with labels cut out! The best part about the event would be the graduate/independent designer stalls. I would recommend going if your love shopping as it is a great day out.

Anyway, back to the dress...Its a bit short for me. I really like the wide neck collar i think its a nice feature to the dress. I love the print and the colours of this dress, i think they complement each other,

The Asos Pot Luck Platform shoes are currently my favourite, I just love the chunkiness about them. I haven't worn them much as they are so white I don't want to get them dirty. these are unavailable but I have linked a similar version the Asos Please Sir Platforms

Belated summer post - The next few posts are more suitable to the summer weather. I should of posted them during the summer but only just got round to editing and writing them up. So for now lets just pretend that I don't live in the UK and its hot outside.

This dress was a present from my mum which she got me when she was on holiday. I have mixed feeling about this dress. I liked it on the hanger but disliked it on me. I cant wear strong permanent pressed pleats I find them really unflattering on me. I think the dress looks a lot better tied at the waist rather than loose fitting. On a positive note I do like the neck tie feature and the bold colourful print which is unusual for me.

Outfit - River Island Organza Cut Out Dress

 Dress - River Island
Shoes - Primark

As soon as I saw this dress, I knew it had to be mine! I'm a big fan of the fit and flare shaped dresses, there such a flattering shape, which is why this dress was perfect for me. I love the contrast of the floral overlay and the triangle cut out details. I do think the dress would look better on me if I had a tan but that's not going to happen anytime soon. The dress is currently in the Asos sale for £33 down from £65.

Outfit - Boohoo Duster Coat

Duster Coat - Boohoo
Bardot Crop Top - Missguided (similar)
Midi Skirt - H&M
Platform Shoes - ASOS (similar)

"On Wednesdays we wear pink"

Look at me wearing a lot of pink! Makes a change from the usual monochrome.

I'm currently seeing Duster Coats/Jackets everywhere, varying in styles, colour and print. I purchased the Camille Duster Coat from Boohoo. Iv pretty much been living in this jacket, I just love everything about it. I got the jacket in blush and it is also available in black, which I have been tempted to buy. Its lightweight which makes it perfect for layering and has two side splits and twin patch pockets.

I wore the duster coat with my H&M light pink midi skirt. This skirt is really delicate and feminine and is available in white. I must admit I do feel like I should be a ballerina plie-ing and pirouetting (the only ballet words I know) whilst wearing this skirt.

I got the bardot crop top from Missguided awhile back, it was from the 'sweet deal' section they had which was basically the cheap section. The top is very thin and see through, then again I cant really complain as it was very cheap.

The white platform shoes I'm wearing are the Asos Pot Luck Platforms, which are now out of stock. I love the style of these shoes, they have a canvas top and rubber cleated sole. I find them easy to walk in but they do tend to rub after awhile.

I am looking forward to the A/W wearing layers but with the nice weather around atm I'm not packing my spring/summer wardrobe away just yet!

Duster Coats

I've recently become a fan of duster coats and I'm currently on the look out for the perfect one... or two. A duster is a light, loose fitting long coat. After hours of browsing online I've selected a few different variations of duster coats below.
1)Boohoo - Camille Duster Coat £40
This duster coat features in the latest Boohoo TV advert and I love it. I think I will definitely be purchasing this coat very soon. It consists of an open front design, notched lapels, side splits and twin patch pockets.

2) Daisy Street - Neo Grid Print Duster Jacket In White £34.99
I saw this jacket on Daisy Streets instagram and since then I've  been debating on whether to get it or not... decisions decisions... This jacket is a checked print, longline style with two pockets.

3) Asos - Duster Coat with Stormflaps £42
The buttoned storm flaps with leather look straps create a unique version of the duster coat. The coat is made from a lightweight fabric and is fully lined. The belted cuffs add a nice little detail to the jacket as well as the side slant pockets. This jacket is currently in the sale and was originally £70.

4) Topshop - Longline Duster Coat £79
This is an oversized long length throw on coat. It is lightweight with a popper fastening and side pockets. I love the lilac pastel colour of this coat. This is the most expensive duster coat out of my chosen selection.

5) New Look - Pale Pink Crepe Duster Coat £29.99
This duster coat is in a sweet pastel hue and is made in a textured crepe fabric. It has a pocket detail and an open front design. This version also comes in a black

6) New Look - Monochrome Patterned Duster Coat £24.99
This is another coat that I have considered purchasing, but I've not yet made my mind up about it. I love the all over pattern and the casual fit.

7) New Look - Coral Unlined Duster Coat £34.99
This longline coat consists of a collared front, pocket details and has an unlined finish. The coat also comes in a black, mint green and a yellow

8) New Look - Pale Blue Double Pocket Textured Duster Coat £29.99
I just love the pastel blue colour of this coat. This jacket has an open front design and double pockets. This coat is available in a navy and a bright pink

9) New Look - Blue Textured Crepe Duster Coat £29.99
This structured style coat has a textured design made from crepe fabric. This coat is available in 6 other colours!

10) River Island - Blue Floral Print Duster Jacket £55
I love this gorgeous print. This blue flowers and butterfly print is so chic. It features a longline shape and an open front design.

My favourite duster coats out of these would have to be the Boohoo Camilla Duster, the Daisy Street Neo Grid Print Duster and finally the River Island Blue Floral Duster jacket.
